This is an opportunity for you to work with some of the most extraordinary and aspirational students you will ever meet. The Gascoigne community is a very special place and we are privileged to be building a school at its heart. The school is driven by the dreams, aspirations and ambitions of our students and the wider community and we would love you to join us in helping us to build a school which will drastically improve the life chances of our young people.
Greatfields opened with 100 Year 7 students in September 2016 and we will grow to become a 10 form entry school with 1800 pupils, including sixth form. We have recently moved into the first phase of our permanent building and are located in the centre of the community. Aspiration is at the heart of everything we do here and we believe that every child has the right and potential to achieve their ambitions.
We are looking for an ambitious teacher to join the fledgling English department with lots of opportunity for development. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a genuine impact on the future direction and success of the department. This role would be ideal for an NQT.
Staff development and wellbeing are central to everything we do as a school. You will receive weekly coaching sessions, a CPD programme which best fits your needs and clear pathways for progression. The senior team are extremely mindful of staff workload and wellbeing and our policies are always designed with this in mind. We understand the pressures of being a classroom teacher and we want to ensure that our staff are happy and enjoy coming to work each day.
A paid induction period will be available before the start of your contract. Please go to our website to fill out an application form if you would like to apply for this role. Feel free to contact Richard Paul, the Head of School, on the e-mail address below if you would like more information or to visit the school and discuss the role in more detail before applying.
The school is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and as such all appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS (CRB) check. Appointments are also subject to satisfactory references/medical clearance.
