Monkton Combe School is seeking to appoint for September 2017, an inspiring and reflective teacher who is qualified to teach English throughout the Senior School, and who will model the characteristics of a growth mindset to their students. 

Experience teaching through the 13-18 age range is essential and experience of teaching A Level English Language may be an advantage. The post would suit an NQT or someone looking for their first move. A willingness to get fully and enthusiastically involved in the extra-curricular life of the School is essential.

Boarding is part of the ethos of Monkton rather than a description of where some of its students stay the night. Many of the day students, who make up about 40% of the student body, often stay till 8.30 or later in the evening. ‘After school’ has more to do with university than tea time.

Our pastoral care is market leading: in partnership with Mind.world we pioneered their groundbreaking pastoral tracking system which helps us track and improve our students’ emotional development.
