Salary: CST payscale

Start date: 1st September 2020

Purpose of the role

Cathedral Schools Trust (CST) is seeking to appoint a Teacher of English from 1st September 2020.

This is a unique opportunity to join a team that is creating and establishing a new school. The appointed candidate will be joining the school as it enters its second year. The role will involve working with the Head of English, Senior Leadership Team and other staff to offer outstanding educational experiences to our students and to contribute to the development of a broad, rigorous and exciting English curriculum.

Applications are welcome from newly qualified or experienced teachers with the ability to teach English to KS3, GCSE and A Level. As we are a new school there is a lot of flexibility in the nature of this role, but fundamentally we require an excellent teacher of English; the rest can be explored in your application letter and interview. For an outstanding candidate there is also the opportunity to be an SLE in the Teaching Schools Alliance of the Cathedral Schools Trust.

Applications are invited from charismatic, enthusiastic and suitably qualified teachers for this exciting, rewarding and demanding post.

If you would like to find out more about the school including FAQs, please visit the Trinity Academy website.

For further details about the role including the job description and person specification, please see the attached documents.

Please note that we will only consider applications through TES and will not consider CVs so please ensure that your supporting statement on the application meets the requirements of the person specification. We encourage you to be succinct and to restrict your supporting statement to no more than four pages in length.

Closing date: 21st February 2020

Interview: Week of 9th March 2020

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults and the post is subject to an  enhanced DBS check.
