Teacher of English

We are a highly supportive school with strong subject and senior leadership to help you develop. We are looking for a highly ambitious, committed and dynamic professional to join our English department; someone who is passionate about their subject, communicates well with young people and makes a positive impact on their learning. The English department comprises of 11 full-time English teaches, including a Curriculum Leader who is also a member of the Senior Leadership Team. We work collaboratively to support each other both with the demands of our work and our well-being.

The successful candidate will have a passion about learning, have strong inter-personal skills, be resilient, be an excellent teacher and have great subject knowledge including experience of a number of GCSE specifications. They will be able to deliver English up to KS4 and deliver both GCSE English Language and GCSE English Literature. An interest in teaching KS5 would also be an advantage as we look to expand English into our growing 6th Form. There is the potential of a TLR for the right candidate.
