Rquired from September 2016 an inspirational, dynamic and passionate teacher of English to join an established team determined to ensure English is outstanding. You must have the ability to teach English across the age and ability range. Applications from new entrants and more experienced candidates are welcomed.

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity to help shape the future development of Science education at our academy, the only 4-16 all-through school in Calderdale. We currently have 967 students learning within the academy, and this will grow to 1420 by 2020 when our primary phase is full. Our brand new primary phase building opened February 2016. We are committed to and passionately believe in all-through education. Our academy is supported and challenged by a skilled and proactive governing body.

The Halifax Academy is a high performing 4-16 all-through Academy in Calderdale, West Yorkshire. It was inspected by Ofsted in September 2017 being judged as good in all areas. Outcomes are outstanding at KS4 and place the academy in the top 15% of all schools nationally with regard to progress. Early Years Provision is good.
