TEMPORARY PART-TIME (48%) TEACHER OF ENGLISH 

Required for the Summer Term 2017

Windermere School is a co-educational independent day and boarding school set in the heart of the idyllic Lake District.  We are looking for an inspirational and well–qualified temporary Part-Time Teacher of English (48%) to join our highly successful English Department.  The post is initially to teach KS3 through the Summer Term 2017, but may become permanent for the right candidate, in which case, other Key Stages would become available.  There is also the possibility that the post will grow in hours. 

The English Department is well-resourced and classes are relatively small.  Our students are well-behaved and keen to learn.

“A wide range of weekend activities takes place in school, in the surrounding area and elsewhere in the country. Many activities also take place on weekday afternoons and evenings. The school successfully implements its equality and anti-discrimination policy. Food is plentiful and nutritious and includes dishes appropriate to an international community. Appropriate policies are implemented for the care of sick or injured boarders. The school’s provision covers: first aid; chronic conditions and disabilities; emergencies, including those at night-time; and administration of prescribed and non-prescribed medication. The school educates the pupils about e-safety and cyber-bullying.”
