Finham Park 2 is an exciting new co-educational academy in Coventry that opened in September 2015. Already a popular choice with local parents, we are significantly over-subscribed for 2017-18 and have a full cohort of Year 7, 8 & 9 students. Our students are smart, thoughtful, inquisitive, well-behaved and polite; on entry they are significantly above the national average for attainment in English and Mathematics.
The school was set up by leaders from the ‘Outstanding’ (2015) Finham Park School and we recently moved into our newly refurbished building on Torrington Avenue. We are proud to be part of and supported by the Finham Park Multi Academy Trust.
Our vision is to provide another outstanding secondary school for parents and children in Coventry with the highest expectations. Finham Park 2 is a mainstream, non-selective, comprehensive school for students aged 11-18. The new academy is built on traditional values. Pivotal to this is a positive ethos and culture of learning and success for all students. There is particular regard to outstanding achievement for all students whatever their academic starting point and a commitment to lifelong learning for all stakeholders.
The Governors are seeking to appoint an innovative and highly motivated teacher to join a strong and enthusiastic team in the Faculty of English where teachers are committed to delivering a high quality, lively and interesting curriculum to challenge and inspire all our students. The successful candidate will be required to teach English to Key Stage 3 and 4 and Key Stage 5 as the school expands.

About Finham Park 2
Finham Park 2 is an exciting, innovative, friendly and supportive 11-19 co-educational comprehensive school based on the West side of Coventry near the border of Solihull and close to Warwick University. We opened in September 2015 with 120 students and are growing year on year until we reach our full size of 800, including 6th form, by 2021. In September 2016 we moved to our new building- a light and spacious, high quality refurbishment with superb facilities including a brand new sports hall. We are fully staffed with a positive, supportive, forward thinking staff team. We continue to be heavily oversubscribed each year. Our recent Ofsted (June 2018) described Finham Park 2 as a good school with “high aspirations for all pupils”, “a very comprehensive curriculum”, where “leaders are passionate about pupils’ development as fully rounded individuals.” and “pupils have positive attitudes to learning….and want to do well.”
However, we are not complacent and our goal is not just to be an outstanding school, but a ‘world class’ one – something for the whole community to be proud of!
