Job overview
Wyvern St Edmund's require an outstanding Teacher of English to join our English Department, on a fixed term basis, to cover a period of maternity leave. This role is a 0.8 FTE position. We would also welcome applications from candidates who would like to consider the additional responsibility of Deputy Head of Department for English, particularly if you have previous experience of leading a Department.
The successful candidate will join an outward facing, passionate and supportive team in an innovative environment where two schools (one boys' and one girls') have co-located to share facilities and teachers to create a large mixed setting.
The English Department is an enthusiastic and forward thinking team that work closely together to share good practice, develop high quality lesson resources and explore innovative ideas. About Wyvern College
Wyvern College and St. Edmund's Girls School have co-located to create one learning campus. Facilities and teachers are shared to create a large, mixed, setting of approximately 1300 students. Both schools are situated next door to each other in an outstanding location on the outskirts of Salisbury, with a beautiful backdrop of the Laverstock Downs and acres of playing fields.
