UTC Derby Pride Park opened in December 2019 and provides a new and dynamic education. It opened within The Sheffield UTC Academy Trust, which has a wealth of experience with two UTCs in Sheffield both graded Ofsted Good. UTC Derby Pride Park has benefited significantly from joining our successful Trust and is over-subscribed for 2023/2024. There is now a need to expand the staff team to ensure we continue to deliver high quality employer-led education to meet the demands of the region.

We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified teacher who can support the delivery of English, you will work alongside the staff team to further develop a centre of excellence focusing on Engineering & Manufacturing along with Health & Life Sciences. Under the direction of the Curriculum Director you will support the delivery of English Language, English Literature and our Literacy for Life Programme.

You will be a highly skilled practitioner who understands the challenges of educating 13-19 year olds in an employer-led technology-rich environment. Effective partnership working is absolutely critical to the UTC’s success. We also welcome applications from newly qualified teachers who have the skills and attributes to develop their expertise within our unique environment.
