Based at St John's RC High School, working full time, 35 hours per week, commencing August 2017, temporary covering maternity leave until May 2018.
You will be GTCS Registered (Secondary), have knowledge of relevant curriculum areas and an awareness of main current issues in Scottish education. You will require approval as regards religious belief and character by representatives of the church or denominational body in whose interest the school has been conducted.
You will deliver quality education to assigned pupils and contribute, within the collegiate ethos, to the professional life of the school.
You will also demonstrate application and knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence and have evidence of appropriate Professional Learning in a range of areas. In addition you will have a positive and caring approach and commitment to young people, have good communication/ interpersonal skills and relate well to others. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment.
