About the role: We seek to appoint an enthusiastic, inspiring Teacher who can bring English to life and create a nurturing learning environment within which everyone can reach their full potential. Join the English team at Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy and you will be part of a highly successful, vibrant, experienced, supportive English team. This is a brand new role for our English team providing an additional resource, collectively distributing the workload of the department from the get go. Whilst this role is suitable for teachers ranging from their NQT year to many years' experience in the profession, we are seeking to appoint an individual who can build rapport with our students and motivate them in the subject. Please note that this teaching position will be timetabled in accordance with the successful candidate's key strengths and will include key elements of intervention. If suitable, we also have a TLR available for this position and have every intention of offering a permanent role at the end of the initial contract.
We have a strong team ethos and believe in working collaboratively, sharing ideas and supporting each other to achieve great things and see this as the key to further developing innovative teaching and learning strategies. The ideal candidate will be able to teach across the ability range for KS3 and KS4 and a real interest in developing teaching and learning is also important. A-level English Literature is offered in our sixth form and teaching opportunities are available at Post-16 for the right candidate. The campus incorporates nine buildings which include four home schools each serving 450 pupils and students, a Design, Technology and Creative and Performing Arts School, a Sport & Community Education Centre and an Inclusions Hub.
