TEACHER OF ENGLISH
MPS / UPS, London Fringe Pay Scale
Required for September 2017, an enthusiastic and ambitious Teacher to join our English department to teach English. This position would also suit an NQT. An early start in July 2017 would be considered for an NQT Teacher.
You will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Excellent subject knowledge
- Ability to build positive working relationships with students and staff
- Passion for delivering outstanding teaching practice
The Bromfords School and Sixth Form College is a school where students achieve well and are part of a strong, caring community. The English Department consists of nine full time English teachers, an English Instructor and two subject specific Learning Support Assistants.
In 2016 36% of A Level grades A*-B and 100% of BTEC grades were either Distinction* or Distinction. 52% of students achieved 5 or more A* to C grades (including English and Mathematics).
In 2016 55% of students achieved A* - C in English Language, 60% achieved A* - C in English Literature and 73% of students made at least expected progress.
