We are looking for an inspirational Teacher to join our outstanding English team and help us to build on our recent successes as well as further raising aspirations and outcomes.

Broadlands Academy is an 11-16 learning community and proud to be part of Academies Enterprise Trust family of schools. We are a small, mixed, fully inclusive comprehensive school taking children from ages 11 to 16 and remain one of the best choices for learning in the area.  For every student who attends our Academy, we aim to raise their aspirations, broaden their horizons and promote a life-long love of learning.  We are situated in extensive grounds and ideally located between Bath and Bristol.  We benefit from a number of links with the local community and have an excellent reputation.

As the sponsor, AET believes that all young people deserve to become world-class learners – to learn, enjoy, succeed and thrive in a first rate educational environment with the best facilities, the best teaching and the most up-to-date resources available to them.  In each of our academies, you will benefit from visionary, inspirational and dynamic leadership and be empowered to develop your own skills with access to world-class CPD and Talent Management programmes.  You will also be entitled to the following benefits: pension scheme, a health cash plan and childcare vouchers.

This is a fixed term post until 31 August 2019 (pending a review of staffing for 2019/20) and is required to commence September 2018.

Closing date: Wednesday 20 June 2018.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive an overwhelming response.  All candidates are advised to refer to the job description and person specification before making an application.

We are committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate will be required for all posts. This post will be subject to enhanced checks as part of our Prevent Duty.
