We have an exciting opportunity for someone with energy and creativity to contribute to raising achievement in English. This

would suit a recently qualified teacher seeking their first post, or an experienced teacher looking for a new opportunity within an established English department.

 

We are looking for

 

  • an enthusiastic, and committed colleague to join our English and Media Team,
  • an outstanding teacher with a passion for learning,
  • an excellent communicator who can bring out the potential of all young people.

 

Crompton House is a highly successful, over-subscribed 11–18 Church of England school situated on the edge of the Pennines, in Oldham, northeast of Manchester. It is a “good school where pupils uphold the school’s core values of caring for each other and achieving excellence in all that they do.”

 

Progress and achievement are excellent with 75% of our pupils achieving grade 4 or above in English and Maths in 2024.

The Crompton House Church of England Secondary School is part of Crompton House Trust. Crompton House Church of England School is a co-educational secondary academy with sixth form, located in the High Crompton area of Oldham, Greater Manchester, but also serving the communities of Rochdale, Middleton, Alkrington, Bamford, Littleborough and Saddleworth.
