A well-qualified, inspiring and dynamic graduate is required to teach English. In 2016, we were awarded best performance by girls at an English independent school in English Literature IGCSE, with 97% of our girls attaining A*-A. Over 100 girls study the subject at Advanced level or as part of the IB Diploma Programme, with many of them choosing English related degree courses at leading Universities.
The successful applicant will be part of a team of thirteen dedicated professionals. The department is well-resourced and full support with induction and continuing professional development is provided.
All teachers are expected to contribute to the rich co-curricular life of the College, but there are no residential duties.

College first opened its doors in February 1854 with the purpose of providing girls with a thorough academic education.
