Job overview

Imperium Federation needs an  English Teacher!

Contract Type – Permanent and Full Time

Salary – Inner London MPS/UPS (+1SEN)

We are seeking to appoint an innovative English Teacher to play a key part in teaching English in Key Stages 3 & 4 and join our vibrant SEBD provisions within the heart of the Royal Borough of Greenwich. You will be skilled at engaging and motivating students who find learning a challenge in this all age special school for students with behaviour and learning difficulties including SEMH and ASD. You will play a key role in the school as we strive to further develop new curriculum pathways and effective provision to engage all students.

About the School

Imperium Federation was established in July 2018.  The federation consists of two schools, Waterside SEMH Primary, Outreach, Nest, Nurture and Nook and King’s Oak School (previously called Moatbridge).  Please visit our website for more information about the school.

What we can offer

We can offer a highly supportive and skilled team to work with, as well as some amazing pupils who want to work with you in supporting their behaviours - helping them to adapt their skills for good.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with the right attitude and outlook on what education should be about. Ultimately this is about an unconditional love and care for our students, a commitment to meeting their needs and providing them with the best education possible, and a passion for developing and demonstrating the skills students will need in order to be successful in later life.

If you are a professional with the ability and ambition to deliver outstanding learning for children and young people with special education needs, then this is the role for you.

We warmly welcome visits to the school by prospective candidates.  To arrange a visit please contact Taiwo Oworu (School Business Manager) on 0208 317 7659 or email to - toworu@waterside.greenwich.sch.uk

Closing Date: 19 May 2019

Interview Date: w/c 20 May 2019

Waterside and King’s Oak Schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  All posts are subject to pre-employment checks.  References will be sought and successful candidates will need to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
