Plumstead Manor is a thriving and popular secondary school located in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. There has been a school on our site since 1913, with the first 105 years as a girls’ school. In response to local demand, we admitted our first mixed cohort in 2018 and are now fully co-educational.

Ours is a vibrant, diverse and inclusive school with over 60 languages spoken across our community. About the role

We are seeking an outstanding teacher of English to join our experienced team of creative and passionate teachers. The English Department provides opportunities for our young people to flourish academically and to develop a lifelong love of language and literature. We contribute positively to the results of the school and provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to take their next steps. 

This role is suitable for either an ECT or an experienced teacher. We welcome and support ECTs with an excellent ECT programme tailored to individual needs, where you will be supported by a mentor. Support and training are continued after the first year of teaching.
