Cove School is an oversubscribed secondary school in Hampshire. We are within easy commute of London, the historic city of Winchester and the peaceful surroundings of the New Forest. As a growing school we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational English teacher to join a great English team.
You will have a passion for your subject along with the drive, energy and enthusiasm to work within the existing dynamic team to ensure the strong progress already made in the department is continued. It is essential that you are a good classroom practitioner and a forward looking, creative, enthusiastic educationalist. Strong knowledge of the current curriculum and national developments is essential.
The latest Ofsted visit in December 2018 agreed the school is moving in the right direction, whereby leadership and behaviour are both good, that we are focused on the right cultural changes to continue the rapid improvement journey.
The English department is strong with outcomes in all measures, consistently well above national average. The department offers great support for specialist teachers and you will be part of a high calibre ‘vibrant’ CPD programme (Ofsted 2018) across the school as well as bespoke leadership and NQT programmes.
Cove School is an 11-16 school and has approximately 1000 pupils on roll. It is an exceptionally exciting time to be at Cove as the school, with school links to the local authority and great opportunities for CPD both internally and externally.

About Cove School
Cove School is a larger than average 11-16 secondary co-educational establishment, located in the north of Hampshire. We are a local authority school within easy commute of London, the historic city of Winchester and the beautiful scenery of the New Forest.
