Northern Education Trust – Manor Academy would like to present you with a truly exceptional opportunity to play a key role in shaping the provision of secondary education within our ambitious and wonderful academy. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of English for September 2021.
Manor Academy is an inclusive school. We strive to provide an educational experience which focuses upon academic success, enjoyment and participation and engenders a sense of community and belonging. Manor has transformed over the past three years, for example, adding +1 to progress 8; 19% increase in the percentage of students achieving English and Mathematics at grade 5 or above (11% at grade 4 or above) and a 5% increase in attendance.
Manor Academy is part of Northern Education Trust, a nationally recognised and trusted Multi Academy Trust with vast experience of school improvement.
In April 2016, we moved into a brand new, purpose-built building which has allowed us to further secure outstanding learning opportunities for our students. This is an exciting time for our academy, and we seek to appoint staff who share our passion and vision for our young people.
The successful candidate will have excellent subject knowledge and be able to demonstrate a high degree of commitment to effective teaching, having the ability to support students of all ages in developing their understanding and enjoyment of the subject.
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented teacher to join a thriving school and work with students who are keen to learn. The person appointed must demonstrate a willingness to participate fully in the wider life of the academy.
