Many students go on to study English ‘A’ Level in our vibrant sixth form.
The English Department at Barnhill Community High School has a superb record of achievement:
· Top 11% nationally for high prior attainers progress. +0.60 progress 8 score.
· Top 20% nationally for disadvantaged students. +0.20 progress 8 score.
· Top 18% nationally for English progress 8 score. +0.42 progress 8 score.
· Grade 7s and higher 25% (National average 20%).
· Grade 9s and higher 4% (National average 2.5%).
