The Saint John Southworth Catholic Multi Academy Trust was established in September 2021 by its founding members, the Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School and St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Cadogan Street. The Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School is seeking an enthusiastic, committed and well-qualified Teacher of English.

The successful candidate will have high expectations of pupils and experience of teaching a broad range of abilities to include A Level English. Applications are welcome from both experienced teachers and ECTs, and the successful candidate will be supported fully in their career and professional development.

About the School

The Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School is a highly successful and oversubscribed Roman Catholic comprehensive school for boys, with a pan-London intake and mixed Sixth Form. It was graded outstanding in its most recent Ofsted report and was recently named The Sunday Times Comprehensive School of the Year 2018 and London State Secondary School of the Year. 

Location

Conveniently located halfway between Shepherd’s Bush and Holland Park tube stations, the Vaughan is situated within the leafy surroundings of London’s prestigious Holland Park and is within easy walking distance of Holland Park gardens, Westfield shopping centre and nearby Notting Hill. Both stations are served by the Central Line, with Shepherd’s Bush Overground also running trains to Clapham Junction every ten minutes.
