This is a truly exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious English teaching specialist to become part of our dedicated English faculty at The Mirfield Free Grammar. As part of this committed team, you will be instrumental in inspiring and motivating our students. You will play a key role in helping to drive the Academy forward; raising standards and creating outstanding life chances for educational achievement.

We are looking to recruit an education professional who is passionate about teaching English. We are looking for someone who wants to inspire, is excited by learning and has a desire to develop a career within a small MAT. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and driven by the desire to deliver outstanding Teaching and Learning. 

It is important to note that we are flexible with a start date for this role; Newly Qualified Teachers will be considered and we offer a supportive NQT programme from September 2019 but we can also offer an earlier start date for qualified teachers.

CPD and staff welfare are paramount here at The Mirfield Free Grammar and we understand the importance of ensuring that our entire team are both supported and developed professionally. Our weekly CPD sessions are focussed on constant Teaching & Learning improvement, with regular features such as Raising Standards, Bespoke Data Training, Whole School Strategies and Revision Training.

We also have our fantastic Wellbeing Centre, based on the school grounds, for both staff & students to access. The Wellbeing Team includes our Lead School Counsellor who works alongside our Senior Safeguarding Officer to provide high quality and skilled personalised support for staff & students.
