Queen Elizabeth’s is a co-educational selective academy with 546 pupils on roll, including 132 in the sixth form.  

This is a friendly school community with high expectations.  We are looking to appoint a Teacher of English from September 2017 to this strong department.  The English department at Queen Elizabeth’s currently comprises a subject leader, two full time teachers and two part time teachers.  

All pupils follow GCSE courses for English and English Literature.  At A Level, English Literature is offered and uptake is usually good.  We currently use AQA for both GCSE and A Level.  The successful candidate will be suitably qualified to teach English Literature through all key stages, be passionate about the subject and strive for the highest standards.

Queen Elizabeth's Grammar, Alford is a co-educational, selective secondary academy based in Lincolnshire, educating students aged 11-18. 

The secondary school has approximately 575 pupils on roll. It has membership of the Young Journalist Academy and has a radio station run by its students.

"Pupils' personal development is outstanding. They have exemplary attitudes to their learning. Their behaviour and attendance are excellent. They show respect for each other and have very well developed social skills. This is seen in their willingness to make a contribution to the school through the numerous opportunities to take responsibility and to organise activities. Sixth form students are very strongly involved in the rest of the school and provide impressive examples for others. There is a very strong sense of community in the school."
