Lycée des Mascareignes is pleased to announce the opening of a British International Section (French Baccalaureate with an International Option).

We are seeking to recruit:

  • Qualified Teacher of English Literature and Language

The successful candidates should:

  • Preferably be fluent English speakers
  • Hold a Degree in English, a PGCE(UK) and have taught for a minimum of 5 years (English teacher)
  • Hold a Degree in History and Geography, a PGCE (UK) and have taught for a minimum of 5 years (History and Geography teacher)
  • Have expertise and experience in the learning objectives, teaching and assessment of Key Stage 4 and 5, that is GCSE and A Level
  • Have an interest/experience in theatre and drama
  • Be dedicated to the progress, achievement and self-confidence of the pupils
  • Be confident with engaging bilingual pupils through creative, rigorous and forward-looking teaching strategies
  • Be enthusiastic about sharing methods and expertise with colleagues
  • Be at ease communicating in French and working within a bilingual educational framework
  • Have wide-ranging knowledge which will contribute to curriculum development and to the overall objectives and ambitions of the Lycée des Mascareignes
