A bright, inspirational teacher is required from September 2019 to teach English throughout the senior school, including at A level. The post would suit either an experienced or a newly qualified teacher.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a strong and high-achieving academic department. English Literature and English Language are both popular Sixth Form options and an ability to teach A Level English Language would be beneficial. The successful candidate will be energetic and enthusiastic and should be prepared to contribute towards extra-curricular activities.
The school is a member of HMC. We have a long record of outstanding achievement, high educational standards and strong pastoral care.
There are currently 740 boys, 160 of whom are in the Sixth Form and 150 in the Junior School. Founded in 1620, the School has since that time been providing an academic and disciplined education for local boys from a wide range of backgrounds.
