The Role

We are looking for a passionate, talented and rigorous English teacher to join our English department to cover maternity leave (one year from April 2022). The successful candidate will have the exciting and unique opportunity to shape a KS3, KS4 and KS5 curriculum which is bespoke, challenging and fit for the needs of 21st century life.

We are looking for an inspirational teacher with a proven track record of leading students to achieve outstanding results, who embraces creativity, innovation and is always looking for the very best practice in teaching. They will share the School's vision and the belief that all young people can achieve at high levels.

All students take English Literature and English Language and all students have five hours of English a week.

About You

  • You will have a bachelor's degree at a minimum of 2.1 or equivalent in English or a related discipline
  • You will have Qualified teacher status through a PGCE, GTP or other international equivalent
  • You will have an English related discipline at A-level standard or equivalent
  • You will have experience teaching English from the national curriculum
  • You will have experience of designing and delivering exciting, challenging and personalised lessons
  • You can show evidence of holding high aspirations for young people
