St. Augustine’s C.E. High School is an Outstanding medium sized mixed comprehensive school situated on the doorstep of central London, in Kilburn. We are seeking a passionate and diligent Teacher of English to join our outstanding English department. You will be required to teach all Year groups of various abilities to G.C.SE. 

The successful candidate will:

• play a key role in the continuing delivery and development of G.C.S.E have an outstanding track record of English teaching and outcomes for pupils at G.C.S.E 

• be passionate about their subject and inspire pupils

• be committed to a rigorous, knowledge-based curriculum

• offer a substantial commitment to extra-curricular activities

St. Augustine’s Federated schools consists of primary and secondary voluntary aided Church of England schools, located in a diverse multi ethnic, inner city community situated in Maida Vale / Kilburn close to the heart of London.

Our comprehensive secondary school’s results have improved significantly over the last few years and Key Stage 3 results are now above the national average. The number of students achieving 5+ A*-C has increased significantly and the school achieved record results in 2006 and 2007. Contextual and non-contextual value added have shown year on year improvement for the last 3 years.
