Values and Vision

Forres Academy plays an important role in its small rural community, and works hard to ensure that its pupils have the proper opportunities and life chances regardless of background or academic ability. To this end, the school offers a diverse curriculum with a strong range of subject choices. Outside of the classroom, Forres Academy also highly values the personal development of its pupils, encouraging their emotional and social intelligence as well as maintaining high academic standards.

Education Scotland Inspection

“The wide-ranging programme of clubs enables many young people at all stages to learn more about themselves and to develop new skills and interests. A notable number are becoming better at coping with unfamiliar situations, for example, through residential excursions. Most young people in S6 are developing their leadership skills and contribute well to the school community. The school is planning further work to increase the motivation, confidence and resilience of young people in the senior school.”
