ROLE DEFINITION;

• To be responsible and accountable for teaching duties in accordance with the Council's overall Education and Youth Employment objectives.
• To lead, develop and deliver the English & Literacy curriculum in line with Curriculum for Excellence and the Senior Phase.
• To raise pupil attainment and achievement.
• To implement Whole School Policy, including Literacy, Numeracy and Health and Wellbeing.
• To Participate in the development and implementation of cross-curricular projects and activities as well as vocational learning.
• Standard for Full Registration by GTCS.
• The ability to work independently and to work collegiately with members of the Faculty, Guidance Team, Pupil Support, cross-curricular groups as well as SLT.
• An aptitude in building strong partnerships with agencies to enhance learning opportunities for pupils.
• The capacity to manage resources effectively.
• The drive and energy to promote a positive school and Faculty ethos.
• The ability to bring about improvement through self-evaluation.
