We are seeking to appoint a full time English teacher to join our ‘Outstanding’ English Department and school.

Building on our ‘Outstanding’ judgements (Ofsted 2012, Local Authority Review 2015), we are continually developing and improving the educational experience for all learners. We are seeking a highly motivated colleague with the enthusiasm and vision to inspire young people to develop enquiring minds and a real interest in English.

This post presents fantastic professional development opportunities to the successful candidate, with the potential in the future to work across schools within the Federation.

We are also part of the Yorkshire Teaching Schools’ Alliance and are committed to the development of high quality teaching practices, which not only benefit our students and the progress they make, but supports outstanding teaching, learning and the development of our staff. Through the alliance we also facilitate ITT, provide school to school support and participate in joint CPD projects.

As a forward thinking school, we are currently part of the RISE project; an EEF funded project based on trialling evidenced-based research to support the development of teaching and learning.
