Teacher of English/Religious Education

The successful applicant will:

• have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;

• hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers; and

• be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

We are seeking an innovative and enthusiastic Teacher of English, having an additional area of Religious Education would be advantageous. The successful applicant should possess the appropriate qualifications, have effective communication skills and be able to actively engage students of varying capacity in Years 7 to 12.

Mt Maria College Petrie is a Catholic Archdiocesan Co-educational Secondary College. It is located next to Our Lady of the Way school and Church in Petrie. The College was established by Brisbane Catholic Education in 1987 and was originally named “Kolbe College” after Saint Maximillian Kolbe. One of the main strengths of the College is the continual provision of Inclusive Education to its clientele. Central to our existence is the genuine concern for each student’s academic, spiritual and personal development.
