We seek to appoint an experienced Teacher of English to George Pindar School.

Due to the promotion of the current post holder, we are now seeking to appoint a dynamic and highly motivated colleague to join our School and become our new Second in English with literacy, supporting further developments in our successful English Faculty. You will be joining #TeamPindar at an exciting time as we continue our post-academisation journey to good. The transformation in English over the last 4 years has been exceptional and the successful candidate will work alongside the Head of Faculty to inspire our team of committed subject experts to even greater heights. In our school, English is highly valued and is housed in a specialist suite of classrooms. The curriculum has been re-written to meet the needs of our cohort and strategies incorporating English Mastery have been embedded to support our young people. We are well supported by the Hope Sentamu Learning Trust and the successful candidate will have the chance to work with the Director of English to embrace new initiatives and be at the forefront of developments in the subject. Staff benefit from a wide range of professional development opportunities which are specific to the subject area or to wider school improvement and career enhancement. There are opportunities to contribute to the wider school community through work as a form tutor and through whole-school initiatives as well as by being a core part of the school’s Extended Leadership Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who wishes to be at the heart of the school’s journey to Good and at the forefront of developments in the quality of education both within and beyond the Faculty.
