  • Are you looking to shape a curriculum to meet the needs of Individual pupils?
  • Are you resilient, dynamic, solution focused and looking to be part of a multi-disciplinary team who are committed to ensuring the very best outcomes for every pupil in our very special school?

If you answered “yes” to these questions, then Hopewell School are waiting to hear from you!

We are currently looking to recruit a passionate and experienced teacher of English. Someone who can take the National curriculum and examination courses and bring them alive in a way that both engages and motivates our pupils. You will have experience working with young people with SEMH and complex needs and understand what approaches work well and how building positive relationships are key to the work. Your enthusiasm for planning and delivering exciting and imaginative lessons will inspire Hopewell pupils to learn and achieve the very best outcomes, educationally as well as for their social and emotional development.

Hopewell School is an Independent day Special school for young people with SEMH as well as complex needs. We operate from two sites – Hopewell School based in Dagenham and motorvations@hopewell our newly opened vocational site in Romford which offer a range of vocational courses and experiences for our pupils.

Over the last three years the school has been through rapid changes and developments which have taken the school from Inadequate to being judged as “Good” at our last inspection in June 2019.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our school on the next phase of its journey and play a key role in the development and learning of our students. As the English teacher you will become part of a team that will specialise in delivering a curriculum designed to meet individual needs and give our pupils the best possible educational outcomes.
