Sheffield Girls’ are looking to appoint a well-qualified and dynamic Teacher of English to join our highly successful English department and teach well-motivated and high achieving girls.

You will contribute to providing an excellent education for the pupils by teaching with expertise and enthusiasm, offering support to the learning of individual students and contributing to the school’s pastoral system.

The ability to teach English Language and Literature at GCSE and English Literature up to and including A level is essential.

This is a temporary, part-time role, equating to approximately 95%. This post is for at least two terms and possibly three terms.

All our teaching staff are expected to contribute to the school’s busy extra-curricular programme.

You will be joining a department that is lively, supportive and hard-working. The department is highly active in school and all members of the department have special responsibilities for various activities, which include debating, public speaking and lots of creative writing opportunities.
