This is an exciting opportunity to join our Academy, where putting students first is a fundamental part of our culture. We strongly believe that positive outcomes for our students come from the professionalism, commitment and passion for excellence displayed by our staff.

What we offer:

  • Employee Rewards scheme – High Street discounts, Staff Wellbeing centre
  • A Trust wide leadership competencies framework
  • A professional leadership development coach
  • A Trust wide staff wellbeing policy
  • Personalised professional development supported by an exceptional team within the Academy and driven through The Continual Professional Growth Policy which replaces appraisal and pay progression.

We are seeking an accomplished teacher to teach English as part of a successful and well-established English department. You will need to be a reflective practitioner with either the experience, or the raw aptitude and determination to teach English from age 11 to 16. We want to encourage a love of English amongst our students so your creative ideas will be welcomed.

The successful applicant will be expected to actively promote our BCA core values of:

High-expectations, Respect, Resilience and Responsibility.

We welcome visits to the school and will endeavour to share some of the ways we support and value our staff here at the Academy and more widely within the Bridgwater College Trust. We hope you can join us in making a significant contribution to narrowing the gap in achievement for our students and enabling young people to feel the exhilaration of going ‘beyond their best’.
