We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of English who will share the Faculty’s determination to transform the life chances of our students and enrich their experience of studying English. We are looking for an enthusiastic, inspiring and motivated colleague who is ambitious for themselves and their students and who enjoys working collaboratively as part of a forward thinking team.
This is an exciting time to join IES Breckland. We currently have 516 students on roll and this will rise considerably in the coming years as a local authority two-phased expansion plan takes place bringing with it significant development of the school’s facilities. IES Breckland is an oversubscribed, Ofsted ‘good’ and improving school well regarded by the local community. Staff enjoy working here and our students are well behaved and keen to learn. The school’s Senior Leadership Team are fully committed to developing the school and seek an individual who will assist with the journey.
Recently under new leadership, the English department has undergone significant changes in the last year to raise standards and build a collaborative team of subject specialists. Whilst results in the faculty are improving, there is progress still to be made and a strong drive in the team to enable this. In return for your commitment to the students, faculty and school, we can offer you amoung other things: a supportive school that puts staff and student well-being at its core; excellent and wide ranging CPD opportunities both internally and externally; an outstanding induction and support programme for new or joining teachers.
If you are enthused by this post, its challenges and opportunities; if you relish the prospect of joining our team of outstanding staff; please contact us for an informal discussion about the role, or look on our website for more information and an application form.
