Alder Community High School is an oversubscribed, 11-16, mixed comprehensive school and is situated in Gee Cross, Hyde within Tameside to the east of Manchester and is close to the borders with Stockport and the Peak District. We are looking to appoint a passionate, inspirational Teacher of English. The successful applicant will join a thriving, high-performing and well-resourced department. You will be joining a highly committed team of professionals who are passionate about raising standards and who are determined to further develop the teaching of English and learning outcomes for all students.
You will be required to teach across the age and ability range and will be expected to contribute to after school revision classes where necessary. Applications from both experienced teachers and NQTs are welcome.
We work collaboratively with a variety of schools within the Greater Manchester area and have active subject networks working together to drive up standards across Tameside. Together with three other schools, we have submitted an application to the Department for Education to form a multi academy trust.
