Job overview

We wish to appoint from September 2018, a well-qualified, enthusiastic and committed teacher of English to join a very strong and successful team. The post is permanent, full-time or part-time will be considered and would suit an NQT or experienced teacher. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Oxfordshire’s largest and most successful schools judged Outstanding’ by Ofsted. Students are well-behaved and motivated, and there is a strong sense of community in Thame, with committed parental support.

We have talented, committed and conscientious teachers who produce stimulating and challenging learning activities, helped by experienced support staff. Teamwork is fundamental to our work and staff training and professional development is a key feature of the school’s success. About Lord Williams's School

Lord Williams’s School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, 11-18 academy with sixth form, situated in Thame in Oxfordshire. The school, which has over 2,000 students on its roll, is managed by the Thame Partnership Academy Trust and the school governors.

The school was founded in 1559 by Lord Williams of Thame. In 1971, Lord Williams's Grammar School was combined with the Wenman School on Towersey Road to form a comprehensive co-educational school. Today it is a split-site school, with Years 7-9 on a Lower School site and Years 10-13 on an Upper School site.
