Our English team are seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational teacher of English who will share our commitment to raising standards, expectations and instilling a passion for learning for all. You will be joining a well resourced, creative, hard-working and ambitious department as we strive towards outstanding in all areas of our practice. We take pride that English is very popular across all key stages and students enjoy being taught in this vibrant department.

The post is equally suitable for an NQT as well as experienced teachers and offers an excellent opportunity to receive support through our comprehensive NQT and CPD programme which will be delivered in conjunction with our Dacorum partners.

Tring School is popular and over-subscribed, serving the town of Tring and the surrounding villages. It is a mixed Church of England all-ability school, 1500 on roll, over 300 Post-16. Academic attainment is well above average and improving year on year. The school strives to support and encourage individual growth within a caring community. We have a talented team of staff who are ambitious to become outstanding in all areas of our work. Ofsted Inspection November 2017 stated: ‘Pupils are highly motivated to learn.' ‘Teaching is good overall with outstanding features.’ ‘Pupils’ progress in English is significantly better than the national average. This represents a sustained improvement since 2015. This is because teachers consistently respond to what individual pupils know and can do. They set work which rapidly moves pupils on from their starting points.’
