Teacher of English

We are a forward-thinking Academy based in Weston-super-Mare, providing education to a rising cohort which is likely to be around 950 KS3/KS4 students in September. Our pupils are excited to learn, are real ambassadors for our diverse community and benefit from a hugely positive and supportive learning environment. 

We are part of the Cabot Learning Federation (CLF) which is the largest non-diocesan academy group in the South West. The CLF currently sponsors 16 academies including Primary schools, Secondary Schools and a studio school catering for students aged 14 to 19.

We have retained our ‘Good’ judgement following our recent Ofsted Inspection. The report states that ‘The school is increasingly the school of choice for local parents and carers because leaders have established a culture of learning and high aspiration.’ We have a new £14million building offering a range of outstanding resources and an embedded, highly effective ‘Ready to Learn’ behaviour system, meaning students are not disrupted by low level disruption.

We wish to appoint a highly committed professional with a high level of emotional intelligence who:

• will be innovative, creative and flexible in your approach to achieve the best results. 

The CLF will provide you with a hugely positive and supporting learning environment, and the opportunity to participate in both Academy and pan-federation professional development from a wide network of high-quality education professionals.

All staff will be entitled to FREE gym membership in our brand-new fitness suite from September 2019, along with reduced rates for the 3G and the Sports Hall.
