We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and inspirational Teacher of English to join a committed and successful department.  This post is suitable for either an experienced teacher or a NQT seeking to start their career in a caring and supportive team with expertise in training and development.

Testbourne Community School, an 11-16 comprehensive school with an extremely able cohort, is an Outstanding School (Ofsted 2010) which provides a forward thinking, outward looking and vibrant learning environment. • have fantastic subject knowledge and be passionate about helping all students, including the most able, appreciate English and understand how to succeed in the subject.

In 2021, our TAG Attainment 8 score was 56.43 and 67% achieved a grade 5+ in English and Maths. 84% of students achieved 4+ in English and Maths which is a fantastic achievement.

The school serves the town of Whitchurch and the surrounding area and is within easy reach of Winchester, Newbury, Basingstoke and Southampton with good transport links to the M3 and A34.

Situated on the River Test and surrounded by picturesque rolling countryside, Whitchurch is Hampshire’s smallest town.   Much of this charming town is a conservation area and contains many listed and notable buildings.  It is also host to Whitchurch Silk Mill, a 19th century water mill which is one of Hampshire's hidden gems.
