Royal Wootton Bassett Academy needs outstanding, motivated and dedicated teacher of English (maternity cover), to join our vibrant and innovative Faculty with outstanding results.
The ideal candidates will have superb subject knowledge and a passion for teaching English and working with Key Stage 3, GCSE and A-Level students. The successful candidate would be part of a successful and creative Department and will have opportunities to teach students from Year 7 upwards and students with SEND or on bespoke curriculum pathways. We are currently evolving our Key Stage 3 courses and Literacy development whole school. We are following the AQA English course and we run very successful English Language, English Literature, and Media Studies courses at A Level. This demonstrates our drive to provide a variety of highly academic but high quality courses, right the way through the Key Stages and we have a real desire to demonstrate meaningful progress for all students.
The English Faculty has exceeded national targets for English for the past 2 years and continues to be one of the most successful at the Academy. It is led by an inspiring Head of Faculty who is an SLE, serving North Wiltshire and beyond. The successful candidate must have a tenacious drive to achieve the very best for their students and the Academy.
