We believe that English is the gateway to the curriculum: if a child does not succeed in English, they are unlikely to succeed in other subjects. We hold this view so strongly that all staff are coached around reading strategies and we want to extend this capacity further. English is a strong department at All Saints, with positive outcomes for all students and a clear commitment to social justice. You will work as part of a small coaching team, engaged in a modular coaching approach and weekly deliberate practice. There are approximately 600 students on roll mostly from our local communities of Honicknowle and Ham which we are proud to serve. We have excellent new purpose-built facilities here which students use. We are the only Church of England secondary academy in Plymouth and are committed to educating students of the Christian faith, those who belong to other faiths and those who subscribe to no faith.
