The Governors of Blessed Trinity RC College wish to appoint an enthusiastic, well-qualified graduate teacher of English with literacy responsibility to join this high achieving department on a permanent basis.

Situated close to Burnley town centre, the college benefits from easy access across the region by car, train and bus and is located just a two-minute drive from Junction 10 off the M65 and a short walk from Burnley Central station which benefits from a direct train route from Manchester City Centre.

Blessed Trinity RC College is a mixed, non-selective Roman Catholic secondary school, situated in Burnley, Lancashire. There are approximately 1,250 students at the college aged between 11-16.

The school wants all pupils to feel valued and works at getting to know them as individuals in order for them to reach their goals and achieve to the highest of their abilities. The school follows four core values: love God, serve others, work hard and value all. Pupils at Blessed Trinity RC College are recognised for their high performance across sport and the arts. The school encourages talents and new interests after class with a wide range of extra-curricular clubs, including the Duke of Edinburgh Award and dance lessons. Pupils are able to explore their Christian faith with optional Chapel drop ins during lunch.
