Peter Symonds is located in Winchester. It is a vibrant sixth form college which has been rated by Ofsted as ‘outstanding’ in every respect. Our unofficial College motto has long been ‘Counting in Ones’ and we work hard to make this a supportive and friendly place to study, with every student treated as an individual. Not only is this at the heart of our work with our students, but we also strive to support and value our staff in the same way.
The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) is a large and growing part of the College, offering the opportunity for students to extend beyond the subject matter of their other courses and helping them to develop skills essential for higher education and the workplace. In the light of this growth, we are looking for Teachers to join us on a part time fixed term basis to expand the team. Hours are worked flexibly, commencing this term and finishing in spring 2018 as students complete their projects. You will be paid on a claims basis.
Teaching EPQ is extremely rewarding, as you support students in their exploration of their own interests; we are constantly inspired by the quality and variety of work they produce. You will be an experienced Teacher with an awareness of EPQ and an enthusiasm to be involved in this growing part of the curriculum.
