TEACHER OF FAITH & ETHICS
(Qualified Teacher Pay Range
(Required from September 2020)
Turton is an oversubscribed and high-achieving 11-18 school of 1540 students, with 300 in the Sixth Form.
We are an innovative Leadership Team, looking at creative and exciting approaches to teaching and learning, in order to engage and challenge both staff and students. We are seeking to appoint an inspirational teacher with strong subject knowledge to teach Faith and Ethics.
Candidates must have the ability to motivate and inspire others, the commitment to care for everyone in our school community and an enthusiasm for learning and teaching that energises young people and allows them to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes they will need for their futures. This role would suit an experienced teacher or an NQT.
The distinctive Turton ethos is values-led. Compassion and good relationships underpin all of our practices. The successful candidate will join a team of hard-working and dedicated colleagues, supportive parents, a fully involved governing body and inspiring students.
Teachers are our most valued resource, thus professional development is at the heart of our working practice. We run our innovative and highly effective ‘Triad’ programme – a collaborative programme that operates on the principles of collegiality as a way of supporting everyone’s development. This is within a school culture that values teachers, promotes well-being and ensures a manageable workload.
