An opportunity to join the staff of a successful, mixed 11-18 Church of England Academy in the Chiltern Hills, conveniently situated at the end of the London Underground Metropolitan Line.
TEACHER OF FOOD & CHILD DEVELOPMENT – MPS, FULL TIME
We are seeking to appoint from September 2019, an exceptional teacher of Food and Child Development.
The successful candidate will be able to communicate his/her passion for the subjects through innovative, diverse and exciting teaching methods and will be able to teach the subjects at KS3, GCSE and Level 3.
The Food department consists of 2 food rooms that are fully equipped to accommodate 20 students in each room. All students study core Food at KS3 level for 2 lesson per week. GCSE Food is a popular option with 2 cohorts in each year group studying food at GCSE level (Y9-11).
Child Development is a popular and successful option choice at KS4. Enthusiasm and a passion for the subject will motivate our students to reach their potential. At KS4 we offer OCR Cambridge Nationals Level 1/2, which runs over 3 years. Students have 5 lessons per fortnight.

Chiltern Hills Academy is a Church of England, co-educational secondary school in Chesham, Buckinghamshire. There are circa 1025 students on the school roll, approximately 100 of whom study in the Sixth Form. Chiltern Hills Academy converted to academy status in 2011 and is jointly sponsored by the Diocese of Oxford and Buckinghamshire Council.
We are situated in the market town of Chesham, Buckinghamshire in the Chiltern Hills, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Situated close to the M40 and the M25, Chesham is on the end of Metropolitan line of the London Underground and is 28 miles north-west of London. There is ample parking on-site.
