Job overview

The Brunel Academy is excited to be working with The Special Partnership Trust, with a view to joining in July 2023 and is looking forward to working closely with colleagues to bring about rapid school improvement.

We believe that all learners have the ability to succeed and make the most of the next stages of their lives. We promote key life skills so that they have the confidence and tools to reach their full potential as learners and citizens.

Job Description

The Brunel Academy is an SEMH Special School in Paignton, Devon, 0.5 miles from the seafront. The Academy welcomes students from Year 7 to Year 11 and supports with GCSE and other qualifications so our students are able to progress into FE, Apprenticeships or work.

We are looking for a resourceful and passionate qualified teacher to support staff and teach and engage students in food & nutrition; not just to pass an exam, but to, also, be able apply their learning and to express their emotions in a therapeutic and positive way.

Our students often require support to build trusting relationships with professionals and you will have high expectations and a belief that they can succeed. You will be someone who can think outside the box with creative lessons for our onsite and offsite students, as well as bring a unique element to the team.
