The Warriner School is an oversubscribed, expanding school and as such we are seeking to appoint a teacher of Food Technology. The Design and Technology Department is a thriving department that offers a wide range of subjects in all Key Stages. Food Technology is taught throughout the school. Student success and enthusiasm at KS3 has led to a consistently high uptake at KS4, where we offer EDUQAS Food Preparation and Nutrition. Mixed ability groups enjoy positive relationships to support their work and progress to achieve outstanding GCSE results. 

The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, confident and have experience of teaching across the Key Stages. They should be keen to develop existing modules of work to promote student participation, progress and attainment. The successful candidate should be familiar with the GCSE specification. Candidates should be able to teach general Design and Technology/Product Design at KS3; there may also be the opportunity to teach within other areas of Design and Technology.

About The Warriner School

The Warriner School is a co-educational secondary academy for 11- to 18-year-olds, located in Bloxham, Oxfordshire. It is part of the Warriner Partnership, which links nine feeder primaries to the secondary school. Around 1,350 students are in attendance, with 150 in the sixth form.

The school was opened in 1971 for students aged 11-16. In September 2013, The Warriner School expanded, opening a sixth-form centre to provide A-level study for 16-18s. In August 2015, the school joined the Warriner Multi Academy Trust, which is made up of one secondary and five primary schools.

The aim of the secondary school is to maintain its active role in the community in Bloxham.
