Job overview

We require, on a part-time basis (0.5FTE), an enthusiastic graduate who is qualified to teach Food Technology at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. The ability to teach other Design and Technology subjects, and also of teaching to A level, are desirable but not essential. This post would suit an experienced or recently/newly qualified classroom teacher. 

The Food Technology department is responsible for delivering a range of courses across the Key Stages. The department operates within an ‘arts carousel’ in year 7-8 and delivers academic and vocational  courses up to university entrance standard. Food is a popular subject at both Key Stages 4 and 5. The department comprises the Head of Department, one specialist teacher and one food technician. The technician provides extensive support to the teaching team and the students.
